Today (7/31/2025) I went through the drive-through for lunch. The woman who took my order and gave me my food was SO nice I had to give a write up. Everyone documents their complaints (rightfully so) but someone who is so nice and friendly deserves a shout out as well. It’s easy to forget how just a really nice person can make your day a little better. Thank you so much!
Burnt Corn & Crunchy Surprises — A Pollo Loco Win in San Fernando After a long, late day at work last week, I swung by Pollo Loco in San Fernando just before closing. I ordered my usual, and when I got to the window, they told me they were out of corn. I couldn’t help but ask, “Come on, how do you run out of corn?” That’s when a young lady asked the kitchen guy what was up — and he told her the corn was burnt. I figured, what the hell — I’ve had worse. I told them, “Let me try it anyway. Don’t worry, I’m okay with it.” And here’s the twist… That “burnt” corn turned out to be some of the best corn I’ve ever had. Smoky, flavorful, and perfectly roasted — it added something special to the meal I didn’t expect. Before I pulled away, the young man surprised me again — he handed me a few free crunchy tacos. Honestly, I never would’ve ordered those on my own. But after that night? I’m a fan for life. In a city like Los Angeles, where great food is everywhere, I never expected to have such a memorable dinner in San Fernando — from burnt corn, no less. Thank you to the team at Pollo Loco. You didn’t just serve a meal — you made my night.
I stopped by when I was done with work to grab dinner since I seriously did not want to cook dinner on a Friday! There was a very short line, I got my order in super quick and I got out of there within 5 minutes! Lady charging me was polite and it was a plus that my order was correct!! Food was awesome! Yes, I would stop by here again!
We needed to have a pit stop on our journey to our mid way stop, on our travel home. It was a long day, and we were super hungry. The parking lot was so packed that we had to park far away near another business. That part was awful considering my feet were sore from Disneyland. Our service was super friendly from the start, by all of the employees. The food was fast, and very delicious. It was so good, and we were so hungry we ordered more chicken. My only compliant would be is the bathrooms. Those were pretty yuck, and even when you washed your hands there wasn't paper towels to dry off. Someone had thrown those in the toilet. Hopefully we showed up during a fluke time when it was in between needing to be cleaned.
